HKUST GZ will provide multi-faceted opportunities for students to develop their personal attributes and competencies, discover their own passion and interests, and widen their horizons intellectually and globally. This includes, but not limited to, hall life, exchanges, internships, and international learning opportunities with choices in various forms and durations, etc.
HKUST GZ will provide generous scholarships for students to join our RPg community (MPhil or PhD studies)
Tuition fees will take into account of local conditions and be benchmarked with international standard. For 2019/20 intake under the pilot scheme, the tuition is HK$42,100 p.a. when they are registered in the Clear Water Bay Campus.
Students of HKUST GZ are registered as HKUST students and graduates of HKUST GZ who meet the requirements of HKUST’s degree are awarded the degree of HKUST.
HKUST GZ will start with PG programs, followed by undergraduate (UG) programs in time. We target to recruit 4,000 PGs in the first 6 years; gradually reaching a total of 10,000 at steady state with 6,000 PGs and 4,000 UG.
The University has rolled out pilot programs right on CWB campus to enroll RPg students to develop the thrust areas as initial academic and research possibilities for HKUST GZ. The first batch of RPg students are have started their study on the CWB campus starting in Fall 2019.
